Check the St. Paul's Records page. There is a new link to an Acrobat .pdf file that contains maps and a listing of lots on the St. Paul's Lutheran cemetery. This information was provided by Chet Fiene via cousin Myrna Olson.
The list is a bit old. It was last updated with lots that were purchased as of about 1986. Some of the lots belong to people who may still be living. (I hope they are not offended. If so, it can be edited.) Unfortunately, it does not include information about the older section of the cemetery, prior to about 1903 or 1904. So you can't find the location of the gravesites of the bushwacker victims, for example. Perhaps over time someone in the Concordia area could update the listing.
Various people have told me that they plan to check for gravesites of ancestors when they visit Concordia. Because there is no cemetery office, locating gravesites can be time consuming. Hopefully, this listing will speed up the process. |
