Sometimes operating a website can be very frustrating. The plat map overlay function that I provide in the Maps section is a good example.
That software uses some non-standard code provided by Google but at the user’s risk and subject to change. While things were working fine for a while, it is now acting up again. Some of the problems depend on the browser one uses since certain code functions differently from browser to browser. It all depends on how the provider implements various HTML features. For my website code, the map generation fails to function at all in Microsoft Internet Explorer. On the other hand, it works in Google Chrome and Firefox. However, in those two browsers the opacity slider used to adjust the intensity of the overlay has now stopped working. Even stranger is that the slider works on a map that I have included on another website with the same code.
Again, bear with me while I look into what is causing the problem. |
