Dorothea Sprengel Frerking, mother of the Frerking tribes in Concordia and surrounding areas, is buried in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery. Her tombstone is featured on page 43 of Robert Frizzell's book Independent Immigrants. I also posted a photo that I took several years ago on the Find A Grave website. At some point, the grave marker was restored. What is interesting is that the 1945 transcriptions of the tombstones in the early section of the cemetery (see the 'Early Gravesites' link on the Church Records page of this website) has different wording than that on the restored marker.

Does anyone know when and by whom the grave marker was restored?
